The role will be based in our SEND classrooms, teaching a small class of 6-8 children, supported by a team of outstanding Child Support Assistants. We are looking to appoint the best from across the Primary range.
This role is to cover a staff member taking on an interim leadership role, and therefore is being offered as a fixed term- 1 year contract, with opportunity to extend, as the post is evaluated throughout the year.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with QTS to work in our thriving Rights Respecting School. We are a mainstream primary with an autism resource base for 30 pupils and a centre for two year olds. Our SEND classrooms in Woodlands and mainstream all benefit from an excellent support ecosystem. Line management, bespoke coaching, professional networking, and outreach support will be directly provided by the specialist Woodlands leadership team. We are looking for a teacher who:
is an outstanding primary practitioner who can demonstrate success in improving provision for their pupils
has a strong knowledge and understanding of how to support children with Autism
has the knowledge of, or skills in using, specialist communication systems e.g. Makaton, PECs
is able to engage with and enthuse parents
has excellent organisational and digital skills
