Launched in Autumn 2025, the site helps students explore and understand the full range of options available after Year 11 — whether that’s continuing at school, moving to college, starting an apprenticeship, joining an internship, or pursuing other training opportunities.

The website provides clear, up-to-date information on Key Stage 5 pathways, outlining what each route involves, where it is offered, and how to apply. It also includes practical advice on preparing for university, employment, and managing finances.

In short, the ‘Next Steps Post-16’ website is a comprehensive, one-stop resource to help young people make informed choices about their future.

Strategy

During the last year, Camden Learning worked with local headteachers, senior leaders and Capital City College Group to develop a new five‑year strategy for Post‑16 education and training in Camden. Building on the borough’s Building Back Stronger vision, the strategy was shaped through collaboration with secondary school leaders and reflects feedback from across the system. It sets out a shared vision and practical actions to strengthen provision, improve choice and outcomes for young people, and ensure a more inclusive, well‑coordinated Post‑16 offer across Camden.
