Recognised globally as an innovation district, Camden has a distinctive mix of businesses and institutions, with billions of investments in biomedical sciences located alongside arts, creative industries, engineering and academic institutions.
The Camden STEAM partnership connects schools, employers and communities across the borough to build a future where young people, regardless of background, are inspired by STEAM opportunities and prepared for the world of working in Camden’s industries. It supports STEAM employers to access a diverse, local talent pipelines, and helps young people access economic opportunity.
Our work in a snapshot:
- We work with over 75 businesses and more than 200 STEAM Ambassador volunteers to provide meaningful STEAM opportunities and engagements for young people
- We reached 13,000 young people in the 24-25 academic year.
- We supported 440 work experience placements in 2025
