Camden Learning Centre

The Camden Learning Centre (CLC) supports the primary computing curriculum and digital learning in Camden schools through a focus on exciting and engaging learning for children, and professional development for teachers. Alongside other projects our main offer is the Primary Creative Computing SLA package. We provide a unique, trusted service for schools, based at the AI Campus, drawing on the wide-ranging practical experience, subject knowledge expertise and skills in our team.

What we offer

Our work with schools is focussed on school’s needs, ready for the new curriculum, and in the wider context of the emerging impact, opportunities and risks of AI in Education, where confident digital competencies for all children and adults in school communities are critical.

The workshop and project offer will focus on effective and inclusive computing and digital learning covering the strands of

programming/coding especially physical computing with robotics and micro:bits (Computer Science)
online safety and digital literacy (including age-appropriate learning about AI)
IT and creative use of apps, tools and platforms for problem-solving and learning
collaboration with other Camden Learning services and offers (e.g. Primary Careers, Primary AI hub and the AI Campus programme)

Schools can choose from a menu of in-school options, and a limited number of workshops will continue to be hosted at the London AI Campus. Schools are advised to discuss their choices as early as possible to allow practical details to be confirmed and school wishes to be accommodated.
