Welcome back! I hope you have all managed to have a decent break and enjoyed some sunny weather too.

At the end of last term, I was invited onto the red carpet to attend the Christ Church NW3 film premiere, with the school and the community who celebrated the Spring Term Arts Project, where pupils had been busy creating seven short films. Five of the films were based around the school’s Christian values of compassion, creativity, simplicity, community and courage. Additional highlights of the premiere were a film about ‘A day in the life of the Reception class’ and a film about how the whole school vision of ‘life in all its fullness’ comes to life in our school. I love the fact that all the pupils and staff were involved and it celebrated the richness of the curriculum, with the pupils displaying a passion for learning as well as for their beautiful school. I found the outstanding series of films very emotive and ‘simplicity’ was my takeaway value for the day.

At the beginning of the Easter holidays Camilla Borwick-Fox, who many of you know well, had a baby boy. Baby arrived a month early, and I am delighted to report that both mother and baby are doing well. I am also pleased to introduce Hana Emami who is covering Camilla’s maternity leave. No doubt, you will get to know Hana over the next few months, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to introduce her to you, so that you recognise her name when various forms of correspondence come out from her. Welcome to Camden Hana.

Thank you all for returning your order forms; as you all know, going forward into the Summer Term, we have now replaced Learning Blocks with Pound Sterling (£). This was a reaction to feedback from schools to create a more streamlined and transparent payment system for our School Improvement offer. Depending on the subscription that your school has purchased: Premium, Standard or Basic, you will now be charged the corresponding tariff for the CPD training, conferencing, consultancy and bespoke packages that we provide. These purchases will be drawn down from your overall allocation, which, as previously, can be viewed in your schools overview summary panel. If you have any questions or need help with bookings, we are on hand to support you – please contact us via email at customersupport@camdenlearning.org.uk or by calling 0207 974 1122.

Have a great half term-it’s a busy one for sure.
