I have had the opportunity this week to get out to schools and have really enjoyed it. It’s great to see so many bright eyed and happy Camden children and to speak with Headteachers about what is going well and some of the challenges they are facing. It was also great to see the secondary Headteachers this week and talk through the white paper and hear their thoughts. We will keep you updated on our next steps.

Next week I will be attending the Sustainers Fest 2022 which is an event for years 7-8 and is a continuation of climate action and engagement work following the Schools Summit last November during COP26. It looks to be an exciting and interactive event which will inspire students to develop sustainability projects in their schools. I can’t wait to see how the pupils interact and take these ideas back to their schools.

We also have a Camden Peace Ambassadors event for secondary schools on 16 June which will give pupils the chance to explore peace through issues that are important to them. See below for more information on this event.

As a reminder we asked last week for you to have your say on the work done by our Health & Wellbeing team. The survey closes today, so please do go in and complete it so we can gather your views
