This Platform event, held on Thursday 27 November, was a great success, drawing an excellent turnout bringing together Global Majority Heritage (GMH) educators from across the Camden and Westminster. Aisha Thomas, author of Representation Matters, delivered the keynote address. Her powerful presentation examined the realities of the current political climate and its impact on GMH communities. She actively engaged educators throughout, speaking candidly about the shifting educational landscape and offering practical, mentorship-centred strategies to help educators navigate these challenges with confidence and clarity.

The next phase of the Platform will focus on pairing mentors and mentees and bringing them together for facilitated support. The event marked a significant step towards building a sustained, supportive network for GMH educators—one that reflects, represents, and uplifts the communities they serve.
