Camden Learning is delighted to share that GSK, the global biopharma company, has become the latest Camden STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Pledge signatory.

GSK employs almost 70,000 people globally, with a purpose to unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together through advancing general and specialist medicines and vaccines.

GSK has won numerous accolades as an employer, such as the Forbes’ ‘Best employers for company culture 2025’ and Glassdoor’s ‘Best Places to Work 2025’.

GSK is an exemplar STEAM employer and innovator, and we’re thrilled to have them join as a STEAM Pledge partner.

Camden’s STEAM Pledge

Our STEAM Pledge initiative mobilises Camden employers to take action for young people, by connecting them to meaningful opportunities which prepare them for a world of work in STEAM industries.

GSK signs on as our 70th pledge partner and joins a growing network of organisations passionate about making STEAM accessible, enjoyable and relevant to young people. Last academic year, STEAM pledge partners and wider employers reached over 13,000 Camden students with STEAM engagements.

As a STEAM Pledge signatory, GSK has committed to:

  • Host students during Camden STEAM Year 12 Work Experience Week
  • Provide employee volunteers to engage with schools as STEAM Ambassadors.
  • Support curriculum enrichment through the Camden STEAM Hub and London AI Campus

Councillor Marcus Boyland, Cabinet Member for Best Start for Children and Families, remarked on GSK’s pledge, saying: “Partnerships like this make a real difference to young people in Camden, and help us to develop a pipeline of future talent in the borough. We are delighted to have GSK join the STEAM partnership to support more young people, from all backgrounds, access inspiring and high-quality experiences that open doors into science, technology and innovation.”

We look forward to working closely with GSK, both through their work directly with Camden schools and in collaborative initiatives at the London AI Campus.
